Hey Y-YA:
To build stronger relationships, and more consistency in our programming, we are going to start meeting every other week (rather than the 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month). So say good-bye to the long gaps brought about by “five-Sunday” months! I should mention too, that some of our larger events will be on Saturdays as opposed to Sundays after church, so keep your eyes peeled. We will start this schedule change with the start of 2010. Check out the calendar below to see what‟s going on this month. More details to come for individual events as dates approach.
Sunday, January 3rd: It‟s Game TimeBring your favorite game to church this week— whether it be a board game, a card game, an active game, a sport, whatever—and by “whatever” I really mean “no video games please”. We‟ll have some good old fellowship as we gather around cycling through these games.
Sunday, January 17th: Christ in CultureRob Bell tells us that “Everything is spiritual.” There is spirituality in the most complex sciences, in our art work, while we are walking the halls of our schools. Everything is spiritual. Join us after church as we watch a seemingly secular movie and pull the theology out of it afterwards.
Sunday, January 31st: Wow!Wowy-zowy! It‟s already the end of the month. The last day in fact. Can you believe it? I hardly can. In fact, this day is so far away, that nothing has been planned yet. It‟s "TBD‟. Watch for information as we get closer to this date. The important thing now is that you know we‟ll have something sweet going on.
Ongoing: Mission Trip PlanningThis summer may feel like a long way off; and it is in many respects, but we need to get moving on the planning of our Mission Trip for the summer of 2010. We are starting to move forward on our plans, so get ready!
